Project Story

Miller Consulting Engineers provided the structural design services for a biomass boiler and silo installation. The structural design services included the foundation anchorage design for the 15-foot- diameter, 50-ton silo, the 15-ton biomass boiler, foundation design for related process equipment, and a foundation design for a pre-engineered metal building enclosure. The design utilized a finite element analysis of the silo base slab to accurately determine the slab depth and reinforcing requirements. The equipment and silo anchorage utilized post-installed concrete anchors to minimize installation issues and related costs.
