The Buildings Division’s Commercial Construction Team provides comprehensive structural engineering services tailored to the full lifecycle of commercial projects, from initial concept through construction completion. The team specializes in the structural design of new buildings, as well as complex additions, adaptive reuse projects, tenant improvements, and seismic or structural upgrades to existing facilities. Their work includes detailed structural analysis to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and performance standards, along with the design of efficient and cost-effective framing systems, foundations, and lateral force-resisting systems. The team prepares clear, permit-ready construction documents and collaborates closely with architects, contractors, and developers to streamline approvals and maintain project schedules. During construction, they offer responsive support services such as shop drawing review, site observations, and field issue resolution, helping ensure that the final structure is built in accordance with design intent, safety requirements, and long-term performance expectations.
