Currently Hiring:


Marketing Coordinator

As our marketing coordinator you will:

  • Strategize, write, and edit content for proposals, qualification packages, resumes, project descriptions, award submittals, and presentations
  • Research / track project and business development opportunities; develop company-wide branding standards
  • Draft proposal development plans and communicate with technical staff and managers regarding details about proposal schedules and action items
  • Maintain website data including project photography and descriptions, resumes, qualifications, and awards
  • Guide interview strategy and preparation meeting; preparing presentation and interview materials
  • Develop a fundamental understanding of MCE's business and clearly communicate that understanding
Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or Journalism, or a related combination of education and experience; Graphic Design experience is a bonus
  • 5+ years experience working with engineers, architects, environmental consultants, or in the construction industry is preferred
  • Strong editing and writing skills with a focus on persuasive writing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator/Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to gather, coordinate, and communicate information from multidisciplinary partners

Associate Structural Engineer (3+ years experience and license)

As an associate structural engineer you will:
  • Perform calculations, develop loading requirements, & create accurate & concise drawings
  • Communicate effectively & professionally with senior engineers & clients regarding status of new & ongoing projects
  • Pay attention to client expectations & scope adjustments, work closely with senior engineers
  • Perform research & conduct field investigations
Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • PE license & 3+ years of experience is required
  • Preferred to have personal vehicle & the minimum required Oregon insurance for site visits
  • Ability to generate creative solutions within existing limitations
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities; Contributes to positive team spirit

Structural Designer (0-4 years experience)

As a structural designer you will:
  • Determine structural systems with licensed engineers
  • Perform calculations, develop loading requirements, & create accurate & concise drawings with supervision
  • Review work with supervising engineers
  • Write reports/letters under direct supervision of senior engineers

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Preferred to have passed Fundamental of Engineering exam and have Engineer in Training certificate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

As an administrative assistant you will:
  • Provide general office support including filing, scanning, and other tasks as assigned
  • Act as a basic accounting back-up to the Controller when needed
  • Provide back-up phone coverage
