Award Overview
Story
Salem, Oregon
The office building spans two stories and covers an area of 55,000 square feet. It is composed of two independent wings connected by a two-story glass lobby, which features an elevated walkway bridge at the second level. In line with the commitment to environmental sustainability, the building was designed to meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold standards and adhere to State Energy Efficiency Design (SEED) requirements. Additionally, the design allows for seamless expansion in the future, should it be deemed necessary. The facility meets seismic requirements for “essential” buildings, ensuring its ability not only to withstand a significant earthquake but also to continue operations and emergency response immediately afterward.
