Mr. Albertine has been involved in the structural design of numerous projects in his 31 years with Miller Consulting Engineers. Paul has been involved with large and small projects ranging from water treatment facililities, to cell towers and everything in between.  Mr. Albertine has done extensive work in structural finite element modeling, as well as dynamic seismic analysis of buildings. In particular, Paul has focused his attention on the seismic design of unreinforced masonry buildings.   Paul also has significant experience in the structural design of equipment support and strengthening. More recently he has focused his attention on support for overhead crane support systems for numerous clients.

Associate Structural Engineer 1 (3+ years experience and license)

As an associate structural engineer you will:
  • Perform calculations, develop loading requirements, & create accurate & concise drawings
  • Communicate effectively & professionally with senior engineers & clients regarding status of new & ongoing projects
  • Pay attention to client expectations & scope adjustments, work closely with senior engineers
  • Perform research & conduct field investigations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • PE license & 3+ years of experience is required
  • Preferred to have personal vehicle & the minimum required Oregon insurance for site visits

  • Determine structural systems with licensed engineers
  • Perform calculations, develop loading requirements, & create accurate & concise drawings with supervision
  • Review work with supervising engineers
  • Write reports/letters under direct supervision of senior engineers


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Preferred to have passed Fundamental of Engineering exam and have Engineer in Training certificate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
