Currently Hiring:
Associate Structural Engineer I (3+ years experience and license)
As an Associate Structural Engineer I you will:
- Perform calculations, develop loading requirements, & create accurate & concise drawings
- Communicate effectively & professionally with senior engineers & clients regarding status of new & ongoing projects
- Pay attention to client expectations & scope adjustments, work closely with senior engineers
- Perform research & conduct field investigations
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- PE license & 3+ years of experience is required
- Preferred to have personal vehicle & the minimum required Oregon insurance for site visits
- Ability to generate creative solutions within existing limitations
- Balances team and individual responsibilities
- Contributes to positive team spirit

Erik Enslow joined Miller Consulting Engineers in March 2026 as a Structural Designer. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Portland.
Erik’s early experience includes structural analysis and design with reinforced concrete and structural steel systems, supported by his involvement in organizations such as ASCE and Steel Bridge. This foundation has shaped his practical, team-oriented approach and supports his continued growth as a designer. He was recognized with the Howard Valium Scholarship and the Oregon Student Success Award and graduated cum laude.
He brings a thoughtful mindset and a willingness to learn, contributing to project teams with attention to detail and collaboration. He is focused on developing practical, well-considered structural solutions that serve both clients and the broader community.
