Ms. Chavez is a Project Engineer of Miller Consulting Engineers, Inc. and has been involved with the design of structures since 2006. Michelle is experienced with a wide variety of projects including swimming pools, anchorage for mechanical theatrical equipment, stadium railing systems, designing concrete residence with insulated concrete forms (ICF), and panelized prefabricated systems used as cooler or freezer rooms.

Within the community, Michelle is involved with National Engineer's Week  as a panel speaker, host, event coordinator, and workshop participant with the focus on underrepresented minorities and women, encouraging higher education with an emphasis on engineering. This experience has helped to develop her skills communicating technical concepts to an audience with varying technical skills.

Kevin McCormick, P.E., S.E. specializes in specialty design projects and the seismic retrofit of historical structures. Together with his experience in project management and in partnering experience, he has been able to complete his projects ahead of schedule and under budget. At the client's request, Kevin has designed repairs for structures allowing the buildings to be fully operational without interruptions to tenants during the repairs.

In addition, Mr. McCormick  has a reputation of being able to clearly communicate his design recommendations and results.  Kevin provides expert testimony for numerous legal proceedings and offers this as one of his specialties.

Mr. McCormick has successfully designed numerous large churches and office buildings. Kevin is competent in design with a variety of materials including concrete, wood, steel, masonry and aluminum.  Kevin's experience includes seismic evaluations and retrofit of unreinforced masonry and concrete structures. He is also the Structural Engineer of Record for the award-winning Oregon State Capitol Seismic Upgrade - Phase I.

Mr. Jobe is a Principal Structural Engineer of Miller Consulting Engineers, Inc. and has been involved with structural design since 1996. Lane is experienced with a wide variety of materials including wood, masonry, concrete, steel, light-gage steel and aluminum. He has been involved with a variety of projects including design of steel moment frames for industrial buildings, historic building retrofits, seismic roof upgrades for metro-area school structures, structural evaluations and investigations that require existing building analysis and retrofits through recognized standards such as FEMA 178 and ASCE-31.  Lane has been involved with establishing guidelines for the special inspection requirements used throughout the state of Oregon with SEAO. He assisted The Masonry Society perform structural engineering trial designs with the goal to help improve building codes and standards. Lane assisted with trial designs for the Direct Design Handbook for Masonry Structures (TMS 403-10), a masonry design standard that helps designers on a more prescriptive basis.
