The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center in Salem, Oregon, is a new, 91,597 gross square-foot, single-story commercial community center using a combination of masonry (CMU) and light gage shear walls, open web steel joists and metal roof, glulam beams and wood decking and a cast-in-place concrete foundation. As the Structural Engineer of Record, MCE provided preliminary design consultation, design work and construction services.

Project Highlights:

MCE worked with the architect, contractor and other engineers to develop an economical and constructible building from design development and construction documents. 

MCE answered questions and provided construction services to the architect, contractor and other engineers throughout the construction process.
