Ms. Chavez is a Project Engineer of Miller Consulting Engineers, Inc. and has been involved with the design of a variety of structures since 2006. Michelle is experienced with a wide variety of projects including swimming pools, anchorage for mechanical theatrical equipment, stadium railing systems, designing concrete residence with insulated concrete forms (ICF), and panelized prefabricated systems used as cooler or freezer rooms.
Within the community, Michelle has been involved with the Portland Engineer's Week for the past three years with the goal to encourage students to pursue higher education and engineering as a career by providing special workshops for women and minority high school students. This experience has help to develop her skills to communicate technical concepts to an audience with varying technical skills.
